BLACKPINK is a South Korean group formed in 2016 by YG Entertainment. Members Jennie, Jisoo, Lisa, and Rosé debuted with the mini album "Square One" in August 2016, and the songs "Boombayah" and "Whistle" quickly recorded great success on the South Korean Gaon album chart, as well as the American Billboard chart.

The second single "Square Two" with the songs "Playing on Fire" and "Stay" also gained great success in South Korea and America. This was followed by the single "As If It*s Your Last," whose music video received over ten million views within 17 hours. After 46 days, the 100 million clicks were reached. German BLINKs also contributed here, as the music video was also featured in German media. Other hits include "DDU-DU DDU-DU," "Kill This Love" and "How You Like That."

Their first concert in November 2017 in Seoul was completely sold out after only two to three minutes and drew more than 15,000 visitors on each of the two days. In May 2019, BLACKPINK performed at the Mercedes Benz Arena in Berlin with over 10,000 people in attendance.
